FEES AND REBATES

Remember psychology session is an investment, it is not just an expense.

At Psych Connect we are proud to offer our clients the most competitively priced fees in the surrounding suburbs.

Medicare rebates

To receive Medicare rebates, you will need a referral (Mental Health Care Plan-MHCP) from your GP (or a psychiatrist or paediatrician). Clients are entitled to a Medicare Rebate for a maximum of 20 sessions. (The Australian Government has extended the number of sessions effective 9th October 2020) sessions per calendar year.

Please note, this arrangement is available until 30th June 2022. At this stage Telehealth sessions are only approved until 31/03/2021.

Psych Connect will charge $120 per session, and your Medicare rebate of $87.45 can be directly refunded into your account immediately.

Please note that having a mental health care plan DOES NOT mean your sessions will be bulk billed.

Cognitive Assessments and Reports

It usually require 4-5 hours ($170 per hour) including initial consultation, conducting measures and obtaining collateral information, and providing summary report. However, writing a comprehensive report would incur additional fee between $500-$700. Please be prepared as this fee can vary dependent on the assessments required and the tasks involved. The psychologist will inform you of the cost required in advance.

NDIS

Psych Connect offer psychology services to plan and self- managed NDIS clients/participants. NDIS will cover the fees for eligible clients.

Payment

Payment is to be made on the day of each consultation. We accept most credit cards and offer EFTPOS facilities through HICAP terminal. Please bring a bank card so that Medicare Rebate can be deposited into your account.

Cancellation Policy

At Psych Connect, we work based on trust and mutual commitment.  If you are unable to keep your appointment, you need to give us at least 24 hours’ notice. If the appointment is missed or late notice given, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. Our booking system sends a text message prior to your appointment, and if no confirmation is received, the scheduled appointment will be cancelled and allocated to another client.
